The Speed Project is een beruchte en niet-goedgekeurde jaarlijkse race van LA naar Las Vegas, ongeveer 500 km lang en met een zwaar woestijnterrein. De reputatie als een extreme uithoudingsuitdaging trekt internationale ultralopers aan die meedoen in estafetteteams of zelfs solo.

Our unstoppable Running Ambassador, Lydia Oldham, fearlessly tackled the challenge as a solo runner, repping the UK among just twenty-three other competitors. Equipped with the new Reebok FloatZig 1 running sneakers and supported by her dedicated RV crew and pacers, Lydia set off on her adventure.

Racing through the streets of LA and venturing onto the vast desert roads that stretch across California and into Nevada, Lydia pounded out relentless km through dawn, dusk and beyond, including an intense overnight and unsupported off-road run through the Mojave Desert.
