Ewen Spencer Photography Challenge

Reebok Europe and Ewen Spencer invite the public to submit photographs capturing contemporary music and street culture as they see it today in the UK. The challenge is open to everyone based in the UK - from emerging photographers to anyone documenting culture on their phone or point-and-shoot.

 2. The Competition

Reebok Europe and Ewen Spencer invite eligible participants to submit original photographs capturing contemporary music and street culture as interpreted by the entrant.

3. Eligibility

  • 3.1 - The competition is open to individuals
    who:
    - are residents of the United Kingdom; and
    - are aged 18 to 30 years old on the date of entry.
  • 3.2 - Employees of the Promoter, its group companies, agents, contractors, or any person professionally connected with the administration of the competition, and members of their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
  • 3.3 - The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and may require proof of age, identity and address.

4. Competition Period

  • 4.1 - The competition opens at 18:00 (GMT) on 12 February 2026.
  • 4.2 - The competition closes at 23.59 (GMT) on 19 February 2026.
  • 4.3 - Entries received after this time will not be accepted.

5. How to Enter

  • 5.1 - No purchase is necessary.
  • 5.2 - To enter, participants must:
    - submit original photographic work capturing contemporary music and street culture;
    - email their submission to submissions@generation.works; and
    - comply with any additional entry instructions published on Ewen Spencer’s official social media channels.
  • 5.3 - Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated.
  • 5.4 - Entries must not contain unlawful, defamatory, infringing, obscene or otherwise inappropriate content.
  • 5.5 - The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, incomplete or not received due to technical failures or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

6. Selection Process

  • 6.1 - Entries will be reviewed and selected by Ewen Spencer.
  • 6.2 - The selection of finalists and any overall winner shall be at the sole discretion of the judge.
  • 6.3 - The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • 6.4 - A minimum of 3 runner's up will be selected and announced on 20 February 2026 to have their work displayed in the exhibition.
  • 6.5 - The overall winner will be announced on 26 February 2026 during the press preview event.
  • 6.6 - The Promoter reserves the right not to select a winner if, in its opinion, no
    suitable entries are received.

7. Prize

  • 7.1 - A minimum of three (3) runner-up entrants (at the Promoter’s discretion) will have their submitted work exhibited at the Reebok Full Circle pop-up event alongside work by Ewen Spencer.
  • 7.2 - One (1) overall winner will be offered the opportunity to assist Ewen Spencer on one (1) upcoming production shoot day. The date, location and nature of the production shall be determined at the sole discretion of the Promoter and Ewen Spencer.
  • 7.3 - The assistant opportunity:
    - is subject to availability and scheduling requirements;
    - does not create any employment, worker, partnership or agency relationship;
    - will be unpaid unless otherwise agreed in writing; and
    - may require the winner to enter into a separate release and confidentiality agreement.
  • 7.4 - Selected works will be exhibited alongside a curated selection from Ewen Spencer’s archive.
  • 7.5 - Selected entries may be reshared across Reebok and Full Circle owned channels in connection with the competition and related promotional activity.
  • 7.6 - All prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternative is available.
  • 7.7 - The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value where reasonably necessary.

 

8. Intellectual Property, Warranties and Licence

  • 8.1 - By submitting an entry, each entrant warrants and represents that:
    - they are the sole creator and legal owner of the submission;
    - the submission is original and does not infringe the intellectual property,
    privacy, publicity or other rights of any third party;
    - they have obtained all necessary permissions, consents and releases from any
    identifiable individuals featured in the submission;
    - they have obtained any necessary property or location releases;
    - the submission does not contain any third-party material unless fully licensed for
    the uses contemplated under these Terms.
  • 8.2 -The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of ownership and copies of any model or property releases and may disqualify any entrant who fails to provide
    satisfactory documentation.
  • 8.3 - Entrants retain ownership of their work.
  • 8.4 - By entering, entrants grant the Promoter and its group companies a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, edit and communicate the submission (in whole or in part) for promotional, marketing, editorial and exhibition purposes in connection with the competition and the Promoter’s brand, across all media including social media, websites, digital platforms, press materials and physical exhibitions.
  • 8.5 - To the extent permitted by law, entrants waive any moral rights in the submission, including the right to object to derogatory treatment of the work.

 9. Indemnity

  • 9.1 - Each entrant shall indemnify and keep indemnified the Promoter, its group companies, officers, employees and agents from and against all claims, actions,
    proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including
    reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
    - any breach of the warranties set out in these Terms;      
    - any claim that the submission infringes the intellectual property, privacy,
    publicity or other rights of any third party;
    - any failure to obtain required consents, permissions or releases.
  • 9.2 This indemnity shall survive the conclusion of the competition.

 10. Publicity

By entering the competition, entrants agree that their name, social media handle and
submission may be used by the Promoter for promotional and publicity purposes
in connection with the competition without additional compensation, unless
prohibited by law.

11. Data Protection

  • 11.1 - The Promoter will process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • 11.2 - Personal data provided by entrants will be used for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting entrants, arranging exhibition participation and prize fulfilment, and carrying out related promotional activity.
  • 11.3 - Where necessary for those purposes, the Promoter may share personal data with:
    - Ewen Spencer and his appointed representatives;
    - event organisers, production companies and venue operators;
    - the Promoter’s group companies;
    - marketing, PR and digital agencies acting on the Promoter’s behalf; and
    - professional advisers and service providers.
  • 11.4 - By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge and consent to such processing and sharing of their personal data for the purposes described above.
  • 11.5 - Personal data will not be used for direct marketing unless the entrant has separately opted in. Further details are available in Reebok’s Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • 12.1 - To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for:
    - any loss or damage arising from participation in the competition or acceptance of any prize;
    - technical failures, network issues or other circumstances resulting in lost or incomplete entries;
    - any events beyond its reasonable control.
  • 12.2 - Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Disqualification and Removal

  • 13.1 - The Promoter reserves the right to:
    - disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms or engages in conduct that is fraudulent, unlawful or damaging to the Promoter’s reputation;
    - remove, refuse to publish or withdraw any submission at its discretion.

14. Platform Disclaimer

  • 14.1 - This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok or any other social media platform.

15. Force Majeure

  • 15.1 - The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend or suspend the competition where it becomes necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

16. General

  • 16.1 - These Terms constitute the entire agreement relating to the competition.
  • 16.2 - If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • 16.3 - Participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

17. Governing Law

  •  17.1 - These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from them.
